When I started AG Performance, I did so with the desire to make a difference in the lives of others. No matter what level of fitness or athleticism you may have, I provide each client with safe, effective, and sufficient methods for self-improvement through exercise and nutritional guidelines.
AG Performance is built on individualized programming — your body, goals, and needs are unique, so your training must be unique to you. Each client receives a thorough assessment of training experience, injury history, medical history, and many other elements. Using the information from the assessment, I create a personalized training program with your goals in mind.
As a former DI collegiate athlete who spent many hours in the weight room, I understand how strength and conditioning can transform a mediocre athlete into a top-level competitor. And, after working in the 9-to-5 world, I know how exercising regularly and proper nutrition can bring vitality to everyday life. I carry this personal experience with me to the gym every day.
From helping a high school baseball player increase power in his swing to helping a senior citizen with diabetes lower her A1C score, I have worked with clients of varying backgrounds and specific demands. I am constantly evolving and learning about my trade, and I enjoy working with new clients because they always have something new to teach me.
I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I graduated from the University of Richmond where I was also a member of the Spiders baseball team. I was fortunate enough to play on the Hall of Fame 2002 team, which was ranked as high as 11th in the country. During that time I also set a few personal records (all of which have since been broken). When I'm not spending time with my wife and three boys, I'm usually lifting heavy things in the gym.
